BYU Radio stopped in at our ice cream tavern to interview Brian Brooker, the founder of Brooker's Founding Flavors Ice Cream. BYU Radio associate producer, Kortlynn Herring, sat down with Brian to ask about how it all started, the inspiration for Brooker's Founding Flavors Ice Cream, the flavors and his vision for the future. With shouts of a grand huzzah, the ribbon was cut at Brookers Founding Flavors Ice Cream Parlor in Vineyard on Saturday.
The one-of-a-kind ice cream parlor, located at 568 N. Mill Road in front of the Geneva Megaplex Theatres, is owned by Brian Brooker. Brian grew up in Virginia and brought a little taste of Colonial Williamsburg to Utah...
Brooker’s Ice Cream founder and creator Brian Brooker hosted a sweet revolution for early American history and ice cream on Dec. 1 at the Brooker’s Founding Flavors Ice Cream grand opening in Vineyard, Utah.
The new colonial America-themed ice cream shop serves ice cream flavors inspired by founding fathers, like “Patrick Henry’s Give Me Chocolate or Give Me Death” and “James Madison’s Constitutional Crunch.”...
Brooker’s Founding Flavors Ice Cream owner Brian Brooker believes his new Provo location’s success is partly because of how quickly he reacted to changes.
“I was very fast to respond and reformat my whole business structure overnight,” he said.
Brooker immediately set up a drive-through and put out extra signs and event tents.
Brian and Jamie Brooker are defying the odds and winning. On Friday they opened their second Brooker’s Founding Flavors Ice Cream Parlor.
The new second location is at 748 E. 820 North in Provo. The original store is in Vineyard just west of the Megaplex Theaters.
“And now today we have opened our second location in the middle of a pandemic. Likely we will open our third location in the midst of an alien invasion.”
Just like the Creamery, Brooker's also places value in the creation and naming of ice cream flavors. Jason Redding is secretly a history junkie and went to Brooker's on a date.
"Then I actually got the ice cream and it was some of the best I've ever had," Redding said. "It rivaled the stuff I get locally in western Washington."
Redding lives in student housing right around the corner from Brooker's new location. "I'm excited to have one so close. It will be great for quick dates, after-FHE activities or just to stop on the way home after a long day," he said.
Everyday Heroes: Brooker's Founding Flavors Employees surprise child trafficking victim with tickets to Celine Dion concert - Daily Herald
She shared her story on Friday in the afternoon sunlight at Brooker’s Founding Flavors Ice Cream in Vineyard, far away from Germany, where she had been a victim of child sex trafficking.
She and nearly a dozen of her friends decided to babysit for neighbors, mow lawns, clean homes, clean window wells, complete odd jobs and work at the Brooker’s Founding Flavors Ice Cream to collect $800 for the concert tickets.
In this one-of-a-kind ice cream parlor, colonial-clad workers serve up unique ice cream flavors, such as "George Washington's Indispensable Flavor," made with dark chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cups, peanut butter candies, and peanut butter swirl; or "Patrick Henry's Give Me Chocolate or Give Me Death," featuring chocolate ice cream, chunks of chocolate fudge chip brownie, chocolate truffle and a swirl of chocolate ganache.
Brooker's is another recently-opened ice cream shop addition to Utah Valley. Housed in the small strip mall in front of the Vineyard Megaplex, it's the perfect after-movie treat. With a plethora of unique, American history-themed flavors, there's a lot of fun options to choose from.
